Barrels & Backroads

Barrels & Backroads specializes in customized trips for two to the many beautiful wineries and craft beer distilleries of the Okanagan, British Columbia.

They approached the design school I was attending at the time in need of a rebrand. Their old logo was a large digital illustration and could not be used easily in their online branding platforms.

The concept was to use a cask and alter the hoops to look like rolling roadways over the countryside. A sun rising over the barrels in the background reflects the getaway that most tourists in the Okanagan come for and might remind some of a sunset enjoyed with a loved one – as the owner specializes in trips for couples.
